Q.1                        SUICIDAL STUDY CASE

Case S  Study A Suicidal Teenager

                                                                                                                      * 17 years old  Socially withdrawn  Irritable with parents  Says he becomes upset when he can't have his way, then feels "overwhelmed with guilt" from his reactions  Gets high with his friends to deal with pain (parents unaware)  Feels hopeless, angry, and guilty  Girlfriend recently dumped him  Grades have recently been slipping  Has given away some valuable possessions to friends


Q.1   1-How would you be a bad communicator in this case?

Ans. When the suicidal teenager comes to Clinical Psychologist and told    him about his stress and personal facing problem but Psychologist  is not clearly listening and not taking the interest in his problem. He wants to get help from Psychologist, but therapist is not able to identifying meaning or problem behind their words and their non- verbal cues, such as eye contact and body language.


Q.2   2- How you will deal with being judgmental?

Ans. He talked about the reason behind his suicide but therapist unable to understand him, instead therapist gives his personal comments and suggestions to him. Psychologist criticize on his weakness or incorrect actions instead to motivate him, after such behavior and judgments he weakens his trust on the Psychologist and further lose his hope.


Q.3    3-How would be you non- creative in this case?

Ans. When frank talked about himself in detail and wants to resolve the current problem from which he is suffering. Psychologist do not know how to deal with such challenge or situation. He only shows non-serious behavior and carelessness towards him. Frank is willing to cooperate with Psychologist but therapist do not know about the scientific techniques and therapy which could be apply on him.
 
Q.4    4- Would you be non- curious in this case . 

          Psychologist must be curious about Frank’s current problem and answer or guide him according to his experience and training. Often the initial assessment is the first opportunity to gauge the situation so, Psychologist must be able to ask insightful questions and should give him best solution of his problem.

         5- How would you be non- empathetic in the case?

Ans. Frank is totally not satisfying with his life and his parents always feels him hopeless and guilty. Therapist unable to understand him and his personal life. Psychologist not performing his duty or responsibility towards him and show carelessness. He does not happy with his therapist, which shows non-empathetic behavior towards him.
