TO FORGIVE IS A GOOD THING

معا ف کر دینا اچھی بات ہے۔ مگر اس کا ہرگز مطلب یہ نہیں کہ قاتل بدیانت اور تخریب کاروں کو معاف کر دیا جائے۔ اس معاشرے میں بے چینی لاقانونیت اور تشدد جنم لیتا ہے۔ سوال یہ پیدا ہوتا ہے کہ معاشرے کی اصلاح ان سزاوں سے ہو سکتی ہے۔بظاہر یہ درست ہے۔ مگر ان جراعم کی وجوہات کو ختم کرنا بہت ضروری ہے۔

To forgive is a good thing; but it never that murderers, dishonest people and saboteurs should be forgiven. This gives rise to restlessness and violence. The question is whether punishment can bring about rectification in society. Apparently, it seems to be suitable; but it is very necessary to root out the causes of these crimes.
