The importance of cleanliness and physical cleanliness

The religion of Islam provides a complete and workable system for all human beings which is in accordance with nature. Nature loves human purity and cleanliness and hates filth and impurity. That is why in the Qur'an al-Hakim and the hadiths of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) a lot of emphasis has been placed on adopting purity and cleanliness. Allaah says in the Qur'an:

"And keep your clothes clean and abstain from uncleanness."

سورۃ المدثر آیت نمبر 4-5

In another place in the Holy Quran it is stated:

"Surely Allah loves those who turn to Him in repentance. He loves those who are chaste."

سورۃ البقرہ آیت نمبر 222

The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said:-

"Purity is part of faith."

طہارت وجسمانی صفائی کی اہمیت

دین اسلام تمام انسانوں کیلئے ایک مکمل اور قابل عمل نظام فراہم کرتا ہے جو کہ فطرت عین مطابق ہے۔ فطرت انسانی طہارت اور صفائی کو پسند کرتی ہے اور گندگی اور ناپاکی سے متنفر ہے۔ اسی لیے قرآن حکیم اور احادیث نبوی صلی اللہ عیلہ وآلہ وسلم میں طہارت اور صفائی اپنانے پر بہت زرو دیا گیا ہے۔ اللہ تعالی قرآن مجید میں ارشاد فرماتے ہیں:۔

"اور اپنے کپڑوں کو پاک رکھیے اور ناپاکی سے دور رہیے"

سورۃ المدثر آیت نمبر 4-5

قرآن مجید میں ایک اور جگہ ارشاد ہے:۔

بے شک اللہ بہت توبہ کرنے والوں کو پسند کرتا ہے اور" 

"پاکیزگی اختیار کرنے والوں کو پسند کرتا ہے۔

سورۃ البقرہ آیت نمبر 222

نبی اکرم صلی اللہ عیلہ وآلہ وسلم کا ارشاد ہے:۔

"طہارت وپاکیزگی ایمان کا حصہ ہے"
