Parental duties

The duties of parents in Islamic society are as follows from the study of Qur'an and Hadith.

Good upbringing

Protection and physical upbringing of any child after his birth

 Is a fundamental right Irshad Rabbani says:

And do not kill your children for fear of poverty, for we and you

 "There is no doubt that killing children is a grave sin.

Education and Training

Along with raising children, it is also the duty of parents to give them a good education and training so that the children become useful citizens not only for their home but also for the whole society.

Justice

It is very important for parents to treat all their children fairly and not to give priority to each other in providing happiness and comfort in life. Boys in particular should not be considered superior to girls.

Marriage

In Islam, it is also the responsibility of the parents to get the children married in a proper place and in this regard, the consent of the children is considered essential. This is the instruction of the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him). Three things should not be delayed

When it is time for prayers.

When present at the funeral.

When a suitable relationship is found in a girl's marriage.

Parental guidance and experience in marriage matters, as well as advice from children, lead to a happier life.

والدین کے فرائض

قرآن وحدیث کے مطالعہ سے اسلامی معاشرے میں والدین کے فرائض مندرجہ ذیل ہیں۔

اچھی پرورش

کسی بھی بچے کا دنیا میں آنے کے بعد اس کی زندگی کا تحفظ اور جسمانی پرورش

 بنیادی حق ہے۔ ارشاد ربانی ہے:۔

اور اپنی اولاد کو غربت کے خوف سے قتل نہ کرو کیونکہ انہیں بھی اور تمہیں بھی ہم

 "رزق دیتے ہیں۔ کچھ شک نہیں کہ اولاد کا مار ڈالنا بڑا سخت گناہ ہے۔

تعلیم و تربیت

اولاد کی پرورش کے ساتھ ساتھ انہیں اچھی تعلیم وتربیت دینا بھی والدین کا فرض ہے تا کہ بچے نہ صرف اپنے گھر کے لیے بلکہ تمام معاشرے کے لیے مفید شہری ثابت ہوں۔

عدل وانصاف

والدین کے لیے یہ بہت ضروری ہے کہ وہ اپنی تمام اولاد کے بارے میں عدل وانصاف سے کام لیں اور زندگی کی خوشیاں اور آسائشیں مہیا کرنے میں کسی ایک دوسرے پر ترجیح نہ دیں۔ خصوصا لڑکوں کو لڑکیوں سے اعلی نہ سمجھا جائے۔

شادی بیاہ

اسلام میں والدین کے ذمہ اولاد کی مناسب جگہ شادی کرنا بھی ضروری ہے اور اس سلسلہ میں اولاد کی رضا مندی کو ضروری قرار دیا ہے۔ حضور اکرم صلی اللہ عیلہ وآلہ وسلم کا ارشاد ہے۔ تین چیزوں میں دیر نہیں کرنی چاہیے

نماز میں وقت ہو جانے پر۔

جنازہ پڑھنے میں جب حاضر ہو۔

لڑکی کی شادی میں جب مناسب رشتہ مل جائے۔

شادی بیاہ کے معاملات میں والدین کی راہنمائی اور تجربہ کے ساتھ ساتھ اولاد سے مشورہ خوشگوار زندگی کی راہموار کرتا ہے۔
